USA Fencing License

I acknowledge that all participants are required to hold a valid USA Fencing membership/license, obtained either directly through the club or via USA Fencing annual registration. Participation may be denied or suspended if the license is not valid or lapses.

Membership, Fees & Payments

I understand that once training, membership, or registration has begun, all membership fees, training fees, and annual registration fees are strictly non-refundable, regardless of attendance, injury, illness, scheduling conflicts, travel, or personal circumstances.

Cancellation & Renewal Policy

Memberships are subject to automatic renewal. Any cancellation request must be submitted at least 24 hours prior to the renewal date. Failure to do so authorizes the club to charge the renewal fee in full. No retroactive cancellations or refunds will be granted.

Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that fencing and related training activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: physical contact, falls, equipment failure, muscle strain, bruises, fractures, or other injuries.I voluntarily and knowingly assume all risks, whether known or unknown, associated with participation.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Miami Fencing Academy, its owners, directors, coaches, staff, volunteers, affiliates, landlords, and partners from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, or causes of action, whether arising from negligence or otherwise, resulting from participation in any club activity.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and defend Miami Fencing Academy against any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or legal fees arising from my participation (or my child’s participation), including claims brought by third parties.

Medical Consent

In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize Miami Fencing Academy to obtain emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary. I understand that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

Minor Participants

If the participant is a minor, I certify that I am the legal parent or guardian, authorized to sign this agreement on their behalf, and I accept full responsibility for the minor’s participation.

Photography & Media Release

I grant permission for the use of photographs or videos taken during activities for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes, without compensation.

Severability & Governing Law

If any provision of this agreement is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Florida.

Acknowledgment

I certify that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to all terms of this waiver and release. I understand that by signing this document, I am giving up certain legal rights.
